Announcing IASER

AI is going to be the greatest change facing humanity over the next decades. Is the Ummah prepared?

The future of AI is being decided right now. Will the divine guidance and 14 centuries of tradition of Islam help shape it?

We’re building IASER, the Islamic Alliance for Safe, Ethical, and Responsible AI, to make sure the answer is yes. We are Muslims working in technology, and we created it to move with the technical depth and nimbleness these challenges demand. IASER makes the ethics of AI clear and accessible, guides Muslims who work with it, develops practical and scholarly resources grounded in the Qur’an and Sunnah, and brings Islamic principles into how AI is shaped.

We’re starting by listening. We’re surveying Muslim tech professionals to better understand the challenges you’re actually facing. The survey takes 7-10 minutes, and your confidential responses will help shape a practical guidebook and scholarly framework launching in December 2026.

What’s coming

There’s more than a guidebook coming. We’re launching JaleesBench, a benchmark to measure whether an AI agent is righteous counsel for a Muslim. We’re working on policy advocacy. We’re creating educational content. We’re growing a community.
